Students will be trained to assist in all aspects of a medical practice, including administrative and clinical skills, under the supervision of a physician.

This field is a rapidly growing area in the medical profession with excellent job opportunities available throughout the state.

Graduates from the Medical Assisting program at DSC are eligible to sit for the national certifying exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologist (AMT). A five-year average shows 81% of graduates passed the certification exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants and became certified medical assistants, CMA (AAMA).

Survey results indicate that, over a 5 year period, the Medical Assisting program at DSC has maintained a 96% satisfaction rate among graduates and employers.
