Mission Statement
The Department of Learning & Development enhances the teaching and learning environment of the college by coordinating and promoting internal and external opportunities/resources that support the college’s mission. The Department aids the professional development and growth of the individual and the institution as measured by:
- communicating opportunities for professional development and collaboration
- providing opportunities for all employees to learn to be change agents and leaders within their area of expertise
- providing opportunities for skills development at all levels of the institution

Professional Development Steering Committee
A collegewide steering committee has been established to plan, prioritize, and make funding recommendations for professional development. The committee provides guidance and support for the LEAD Academy, Fall and Spring Planning weeks, the Academic Excellence Symposium, and other professional development activities and programs.
