U.S. News & World Report ranks Daytona State College’s Online Bachelor’s Programs as one of the best in the nation ten years in a row
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (January 25, 2022) – For the tenth straight year, Daytona State College has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings for Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs. Today’s announcement places DSC as the highest ranked public state college in Florida. In addition to its overall ranking, the College was also identified for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.
“U.S. News & World Report sets a high bar for achievement and Daytona State’s decade of excellence is a direct result of the hard work put in by our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Tom LoBasso, DSC President. “It is gratifying to see that the dedication to our students is recognized in such a meaningful way.”
Colleges are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence that include four general categories: engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion. The expert opinion category surveys high-ranking academic officials to help account for intangible factors affecting program quality that are not captured by statistics alone.
Daytona State College has offered bachelor’s degrees since 2006 with the Bachelor’s in Applied Science in Supervision and Management. The College has added bachelor’s programs in Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Elementary Education, Secondary Education (with specializations), Nursing, and Accounting, bringing the total number to 12. The BAS in Supervision and Management, BSET, BSIT, and BSN can be completed entirely online.
