DSC offering Associate of Science degree in Aerospace Technology beginning Spring 2026
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (November 20, 2025) – Daytona State College will launch a new Associate of Science in Aerospace Technology degree in Spring 2026, developed in collaboration with NASA, Blue Origin, Northrop Grumman and other aerospace industry leaders.
The four-semester program provides hands-on training in aircraft structure fabrication using advanced composite materials, along with instruction in building and testing mechanical systems, wiring and troubleshooting electrical circuits and working with analog and digital devices and electronics assembly.
“Daytona Beach is home to a fast-growing aerospace technology hub at the north end of Florida’s Space Coast,” said Dr. Tom LoBasso, president of Daytona State College. “Our graduates will be entering the rapidly growing and high-demand field of aerospace technicians.”
Students will also study industrial safety protocols, quality assurance practices and project management. The degree includes embedded certificates for Aerospace Technician and Structural Technician.
The program will be taught at Daytona State’s Advanced Technology College campus.
