Daytona State College will close on Monday, February 16 in observance of George Washington’s birthday as an official state holiday. The recognition coincides with Florida’s statewide celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary. The College will reopen on Tuesday, February 17, at 8 a.m.

Transfer options may be available

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2016) – With the closing this week of ITT Technical Institutes affecting thousands of students, Daytona State College is poised to assist. On a case-by-case basis, DSC advisors are ready to work with ITT students to discover options to continue their college education.

"We understand this is a challenging time for ITT students, and we're ready to assist in whatever way possible," said DSC Provost Amy Locklear. "We can examine their transfer options and help them explore potential parallel programs and classes at Daytona State."

In addition to classes at its five campuses in Volusia and Flagler counties, Daytona State offers a wide range of online classes and has ranked for four years running in the top 10 Best Online Bachelor's Programs in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
