an all-weather indoor firing range, high-speed and defensive driving training track,
and an Active Scenario Training Structure. The College is also remodeling two buildings
on the DeLand Campus that will house classrooms and facilities supporting virtual
reality and defensive tactics training, as well as patient simulators for EMT and
paramedic training.
When the Center opens in early 2025, it will provide training for 240 law enforcement
recruits, 70 correctional officer recruits, and 250 Emergency Medical Technician and
paramedic students annually.
“Our instructors are the best of the best, and the majority come from careers with
local law enforcement agencies,” said Evan Doyle, Director of the Charles M. Curb
