CCAMPIS Program
The Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) grant is a federal program of the U.S. Department of Education that assists student parents with the cost of keeping their children enrolled in quality, accredited, and conveniently located child care services. Our program provides partial funding to students who are eligible to receive Pell grants and are in pursuit of post-secondary education.

How do I apply for the CCAMPIS program?
To apply for childcare assistance, interested student-parents should complete an online application by visiting Eligibility and Application.
What type of services does the CCAMPIS program provide?
Participants in CCAMPIS receive assistance paying for childcare expenses.
In addition, CCAMPIS student-parents receive access to informative parenting workshops, family-friendly events, educational resources, scholarships, and a supportive student-parent network.
Does the CCAMPIS program cover other child care expenses (i.e. registration/application fees)?
The CCAMPIS program can offer one-time assistance with registration/application fees.
When are applications available/due?
Applications are available and accepted year-round.
How long will my application be retained?
Your application is valid for one academic year, however, your eligibility is evaluated each semester.
If I submit a completed application, will I be approved?
Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Awards are based on available program funds and student eligibility. Grant funds are limited, not all who apply will be approved.
Which child care provider can I use?
CCAMPIS participants must select one of the approved, accredited child care centers from the CCAMPIS Provider Network.
Can I add a child care provider, not on the list?
We are always looking to expand our provider network. Prospective daycares must be licensed, accredited (or interested in becoming accredited within 3 years or have a CLASS score of 4 or higher), insured and complete an application packet.
Students may still apply for assistance, but please be advised processing times vary. Prospective providers who do not meet program requirements or complete the necessary paperwork cannot be added.
How many children will the CCAMPIS program sponsor?
The CCAMPIS program may sponsor up to 3 children per student.
Does the CCAMPIS program pay for my child's entire child care cost?
The CCAMPIS program provides partial child care assistance. Students are responsible for a partial payment based on a sliding fee scale of no more than $35 a week per child.
If my Pell award is pending, can I still apply for the CCAMPIS program?
Yes. You can still apply for the CCAMPIS program. But, your application will be incomplete. To qualify for the CCAMPIS program, your application must include ALL supporting documents before your application can be reviewed for consideration.
If I am registered in the Adult Education and/or English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) program at Daytona State College, will the CCAMPIS program assist with child care?
No. You must be enrolled in at least 6.0 credit hours of College level coursework throughout the semester and be Pell-eligible.
When will I know if I am going to receive CCAMPIS funding?
You will know if you have been accepted into the CCAMPIS program before the start of the semester for which you are applying. A CCAMPIS representative will contact you through your DSC Falcon Email.
If I am registered for night classes/online classes, can I apply for the CCAMPIS program?
Yes. CCAMPIS program requires enrollment in a minimum of 6.0 College-level or vocation program credit hours (lecture and online). These classes can be in the evening or online.
Are there additional requirements for CCAMPIS students throughout the semester.
Yes. CCAMPIS participants must complete an orientation, wellness activity, and a mid-semester check-in each semester.
