Admission Requirements

  • Pre-admission consultation: Schedule a meeting with the Director of the School of Workforce and bring the following: Unofficial transcripts and course descriptions from your trade school or institute, a brief narrative of your technical training and career, a current resume, copies of certificates of completion/achievement in your trade or craft or any additional documentation you wish to have evaluated.
  • Educational background: You must have completed a registered apprenticeship or certificate program with at least 750 contact hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher, or possess equivalent experience. Your program will be evaluated for credit conversion based on completion proof.
  • Equivalent learning experiences: These will be reviewed according to the OMT Technical Training Rubric, supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Credit award: Approved apprenticeships, certificate programs, or equivalent experiences will receive 24-27 credit hours as BCT2990 Technical Training.
