Your Path to Success
The Associate of Science in Broadcast Television Production degree program prepares
                                 you for a career in broadcast television production, including jobs like producer,
                                 director, associate director, videographer, non-linear video editor, camera operator,
                                 floor director, lighting technician, audio operator and technician, prompter operator,
                                 camera shader, video operator, graphics creator and operator, technical director,
                                 line producer, associate director and set designer.
The program offers a specialization in Broadcast Television Production, stressing
                                 hands-on live television production experience in a broadcast television station located
                                 in the nation’s 16th largest TV market. You will also learn industry standards, problem-solving
                                 skills, work ethics and specific occupational skills. The program focuses on a comprehensive
                                 understanding and demonstration of video production skills, including producing and
                                 crewing live studio and sports remote productions, as well as recorded field productions.
Certificates within the Broadcast TV Production program
You can also enroll in Certification programs in Television Studio Production (12
                                 semester hours) and Broadcast Television Production (24 semester hours). The Television
                                 Studio Production Certificate gives students the tools needed to work in either live
                                 or recorded studio productions. 
You'll have opportunities to polish your new skills by crewing live shows on WDSC-TV
                                 15. The Broadcast Television Production Certificate builds on those skills and also
                                 offers opportunities to learn advanced videography, line producing and directing.
You have the option of pursuing the certificates individually as a way to upgrade
                                 your skills or complete the certificate programs while working toward the Associate
                                 of Science degree in Broadcast Television Production. If you graduate with the Associate
                                 of Science degree, you also earn the certificates.
