Brad Moody www.bradjmoody.comBrad Moody received his M.F.A in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and his B.S in Art Education from Skidmore College. Brad spent 10 years in industry working as an Interactive Designer, Broadcast Designer, Advertising Designer, Art Director and Associate Broadcast Producer. Brad has worked solely in Higher Education for the past 12 years teaching all aspects of digital media courses including but not limited to, video, sound, interactive, performance, graphic design and photography. Brad has presented on numerous occasions regarding digital media and technology integration in higher education. Brad has been involved in industry juried service with Adobe, PromaxBDA, ISEA and belongs to a variety of associations such as, Broadcast Design Association (PromaxBDA), The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music, AIGA, American Institute of Graphic Arts and the International Society for Technology in Education. Currently developing personal work, Palm Tree Escape is a work in progress relating to the semiotic relationship with escape or paradise with the palm tree image. This work was composed absorbing sounds recorded from the palm tree itself using shotgun and contact microphones. The recorded audio was then manipulated and arranged to create this work. The piece is part of a larger interactive sound installation incorporating an image of the palm tree, manipulated filed recordings, video monitor, circuit board and Max. Brad is a certified Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Trainer and an  Apple Distinguished Educator.
